Celebrating National Space Day with an Exciting Quiz
On August 23rd, India celebrated National Space Day, marking a momentous achievement with Chandrayaan-3's successful landing on the Moon. To commemorate this milestone, my teammates Shreya Karkade, Shohini Kavlekar, Meghana Rawool, and I organized an engaging quiz competition for students of Classes 7, 8, and 9 at S.S Samiti's I.V.B.D school, Dhavali, Ponda.
The quiz aimed to spark curiosity and deepen knowledge about space exploration. Divided into four rounds, it covered fascinating topics:
- Our Solar System – Testing foundational knowledge of planets, moons, and celestial phenomena.
- Indian Space Missions – Highlighting India’s journey in space exploration, including ISRO’s pioneering efforts.
- Astronauts – Celebrating the individuals who’ve ventured beyond our planet.
- Chandrayaan-3 – A special round dedicated to India’s lunar triumph, inspiring students to dream big.
The event also included videos of Chandrayaan-3’s historic landing and the Prime Minister’s address, which filled the room with pride and excitement.
Through this initiative, we hoped to inspire young minds to explore the wonders of space and recognize India’s remarkable achievements in the field. A big thanks to everyone who participated and made this event memorable!
